‘He will comply with the instructions of the high command’: Yediyurappa on the future as Karnataka CM | India News

BENGALURU: Amid talks about a leadership change in Karnataka, Prime Minister BS Yediyurappa said on Thursday that the BJP high command will give an address on July 25 and abide by it.
Breaking his silence for the first time amid a huge rumor that his departure was in the cards, Yediyurappa said: “Based on the instructions that the central leaders will give me on July 25, I will begin my work from July 26. We have a special program on July 26 about 2 years of our government, after attending that program, I will follow the instructions of the national president. ”
The Yediyurappa government will complete two years in office on July 26.
Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, he said that his intention is to strengthen the party in the coming days and return it to power.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah (Interior Minister) and our National President JP Nadda have a special love and faith for me. You know that no positions have been awarded to those over 75 years of age, but they appreciate my work. They have given me a chance even though I have crossed 78 years, “said Yediyurappa.
Yediyurappa had visited Delhi last week and met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Interior Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President JP Nadda.
His trip to Delhi had sparked speculation that he is dating and the party’s central leadership is working on a succession plan.
