India’s Cumulative Covid-19 Vaccination Coverage Exceeds Rs 30 Crore | India News

NEW DELHI: India’s cumulative Covid-19 vaccination coverage has passed the 30 crore mark, the Union Health Ministry reported on Wednesday.
According to the provisional report issued today at 7:00 p.m., so far 30,09,69,538 doses of vaccine have been administered. On Wednesday, more than 58.34 lakh doses of vaccine were administered to eligible beneficiaries.
In the age group 18 to 44 years, 41,23,073 doses of vaccine were administered as the first dose and 68,903 doses of vaccine were administered as the second dose. In total, 7,02,11,075 people in 37 states / UT have received their first dose and a total of 14,98,113 have received their second dose since the start of phase 3 of the vaccination campaign, the Ministry said.
Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have administered more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the epoch. age group 18 to 44 for the first dose of the COVID vaccine.
Meanwhile, India reported 50,848 new infections and 68,817 recoveries in the last 24 hours. India’s number of active COVID-19 cases fell to 6,43,194, the lowest level in 82 days, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) reported on Wednesday.
The daily rate of positivity in the country stands at 2.67 percent. The weekly positivity rate remained below 5 percent for the 16th day in a row and currently stands at 3.12 percent.
