Sharad Pawar works to unite the opposition: NCP | India News

MUMBAI: CPN chief Sharad Pawar is working to unite all opposition leaders, party spokesman Nawab Malik said commenting on Pawar’s meeting with political strategist Prashant Kishor in New Delhi on Monday.
The meeting at Pawar’s residence in Delhi took place ahead of the PNC’s national executive meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
When asked about it, Malik said: “Pawar is working to unite all the opposition leaders. Perhaps, the meeting was to discuss it. The party’s national executive meeting will also be held tomorrow in the national capital.” .
The NCP currently shares power with the Shiv Sena and the Congress in Maharashtra.
Earlier, Kishor visited Pawar at the latter’s residence in Mumbai on June 11, when the two held conversations for about three hours, causing tongues to wag in political circles.
Kishor had helped shape the electoral strategy for the DMK and TMC in the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, respectively.
After these two parties emerged victorious in elections held earlier this year, the electoral strategist had said he was “leaving this space.”
