AHMEDABAD: Union Interior Minister Amit Shah said on Monday that the central government has decided to increase the rate of vaccination against Covid-19 in July and August.

“The central government has decided to increase the vaccination rate in July and August,” he added.
Shah said that since Monday morning an important journey in the fight against Covid-19 has begun under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The prime minister had made an important decision that the center will provide free vaccination to those over 18, he said.
In a country with such a large population, providing free vaccination is a big decision, he said.
On International Yoga Day on Monday, the free vaccine campaign for everyone will be launched across the country, Shah said, adding that India was already at the top in the vaccination program.
“Now we will reach the goal of vaccinating almost everyone very quickly,” he said.
