PM Modi will lead the International Yoga Day event on Monday at 6:30 am | India News


NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the seventh day yoga program around 6:30 am on Monday.

In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the main event of International Yoga Day 2021 will be a televised program and is scheduled to start at 6.30am on all Doordarshan channels.
The main theme of IDY 2021 is “Yoga for Wellness”, which is aligned with current concerns.
The event will also include a State Minister’s speech to Ayush Kiren Rijiju and a live yoga demonstration by the Morarji Desai National Yoga Institute.
Previously, the central government said that the event will be observed through the maximum use of digital, virtual and electronic platforms instead of organizing events that require congregation of people.
“All stakeholders are invited to deliver messages to the public highlighting the importance and contribution of IDY to public health and encouraging people to observe IDY 2021 by doing the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) at home with their families, on June 21, 2021, “the government said in a note on Saturday.
The AYUSH ministry has produced an “IDY Manual” taking into account the current situation of the pandemic: the loans are mainly focused on mobilization activities in the online / virtual mode.
In addition to bringing back the key message of following appropriate Covid behavior to ensure personal health and well-being, these activities can be carried out through digital means.
The manual, through the standardization of activities, will help strengthen collaborations between different stakeholders in organizing activities for IDY 2021, the government said.
