Share details of relief work done during Covid-19 pandemic, Lok Sabha speaker told MPs India News


NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha Chairman Om Birla on Tuesday urged Members of Parliament to share details of the relief work carried out by them in their constituencies amid the Covid-19 pandemic to develop best practices at the level national to deal with similar situations in the future.
Birla, in a letter to all deputies, said that, as public representatives, it is the duty of parliamentarians to support people in this serious crisis and help them in all aspects.
“I believe that he has spent most of his time helping people in their adversity. He has not only provided moral support to distressed citizens, but has also made every effort to solve their problems,” he said in the letter.
“The need of the moment is to share their stellar work and their experiences with the entire country so that we can develop best practices at the national level to deal with these types of situations,” said the speaker.
Birla, the Kota MP from Rajasthan, had announced that students who were preparing for medical and engineering entrance exams and had lost their parents or family members with income to Covid-19, would receive training and free accommodation in your constituency.
