NEW DELHI: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, requesting his personal intervention to resolve physicians’ bodily pleas to ensure that medical professionals can work without fear and take action against people who spread misinformation about vaccination campaign.
“Anyone who spreads misinformation against the vaccination campaign aimed at combating the Covid-19 pandemic must be registered and punished in accordance with the law, including the relevant provisions of the Epidemic Diseases Act of 1897, the Criminal Code of the India.
