Uddhav government orders new investigation into Mantri coastal resort deals | India News

NAVI MUMBAI: The Maharashtra government has ordered a new investigation into alleged violations related to the Ratnagiri land deals involving the state transport minister, Anil Parab.
The investigation was ordered under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966, after objections were raised about the inclusion of a subdivision officer (Dapoli), Sharad Pawar, in the first investigation committee; The two-member panel was chaired by the executive director of Zilla Parishad of Ratnagiri.
Records in possession with YOU show that Parab sold just over an acre of the beachfront Sai Resort in Murud village, Dapoli taluka, to Kandivli resident Sadanad Kadam for Rs 1.1 crore. The three-acre complex is allegedly illegal.
Parab said YOU, “I have sold my property in the village of Murud.” He declined to comment on the allegations made, among others, by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya. “It is between them (the complainants and the owner of the plot),” said Parab.
The Ratnagiri tax collector ordered the new investigation on Friday under section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code into a complaint by Prasad Karve, an aide to the late Supreme Shiv Sena Bal Thackeray.
The collector had formed the previous committee on May 25 to investigate allegations of illegalities and violations that included those related to the land transaction, non-agricultural land permits, construction of a road to the complex, violation of CRZ rules, and tax on the House.
Of the property in question, Parab sold 4,250 square meters (1.05 acres) of about 12,600 square meters to Kadam on December 29, 2020. “Parab had purchased the land from Vibhas Sathe on May 2, 2017. Sathe had illegally obtained the -Agricultural land with permission for a building of land plus one of the SDO, Dapoli. But Parab built three buildings, of which two are land plus two, ”Somaiya claimed.
“Parab violated land transaction rules, non-agricultural land permit (NA), building construction and road rules, CRZ rules, housing tax rules and resorted to counterfeiting the complex in collusion with SDO, revenue staff, and others. I opposed the inclusion of SDO Dapoli Sharad Pawar in the investigation committee, as he had approved the non-agricultural order (NA) with land permit plus one and had complained to the Dapoli police, ”Somaiya added.
“I have demanded the cancellation of the NA permit and the demolition of the illegal structures at the Aaple Sarkar portal,” Karve said.
The two-member committee made up of the CEO of zilla parishad and SDO Dapoli was investigating Somaiya’s complaint. Karve’s complaint will be investigated under the new investigation. This has been learned from separate letters (in YOUpossession) written to the complainants by Sanjay Shinde, additional collector, Ratnagiri. Shinde did not respond to calls or texts for comment.
“The zilla parishad has jurisdiction over the appraisal of all properties. SDO is the authority that grants the (land) permit. A report on the allegations has been requested, ”said Dr. Indurani Jakhar, executive director of Ratnagiri zilla parishad.
