CoWin portal removes Captcha control | India News

NEW DELHI: The CoWin platform used to run India’s vaccination program and register beneficiaries has removed the Captcha check to register for a vaccine.
The registration process has become faster without Captcha and the decision appears to have followed the introduction of a four-digit code that recipients must produce at their vaccination site. The code is intended to prevent robots or algorithms from playing during the slot reservation process.
CoWin chief RS Sharma has said that the programs managed by various apps only help alert beneficiaries to vacant spaces in a designated area, but do not provide any additional benefits.
