CBI orders staff to wear formal on duty | India News

NEW DELHI: CBI’s new director, Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, has directed all agency officials to dress in formal wear when on duty, warning them that no casual dress will be allowed.
In an order issued by the deputy director of administration, it was made clear that while all male staff must be dressed in slacks, collared shirts, and formal shoes with the proper shave, female workers will wear formal suits, saris, shirts and pants.
“Jeans, T-shirts, athletic shoes, chappals and casual clothing are not allowed in the office,” the order said.
The directive was issued after it was noted that some staff members were not “dressed properly” in the office.
CBI officials are supposed to dress formally, but recently, some began to wear casual clothes in the office, which the director noted.
