J&K LG Manoj Sinha Visits DRDO Covid Hospital Construction Site, Says Government Ensuring Best Medical Care | India News


SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday inspected the construction site of the Defense Research and Development Organization’s (DRDO) 500-bed Covid hospital in Khonmoh, in a semi-rural area of Srinagar district.
While reviewing the project’s progress, LG Sinha ordered the DRDO and officials to make the medical center available to people no later than this week.
LG Sinha also emphasized the importance of developing specialized critical care for infants and children and directed officials to set up a 25-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the facility with a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, dietitians and coordinators at the center. same hospital
“My goal is to ensure a high-quality healthcare system quickly to the people of UT with high-quality doctors and medical staff to combat the Covid-19 pandemic,” said LG Manoj Sinha.

The Lieutenant Governor was informed that the hospital has a capacity for 125 ICU beds and 375 beds with oxygen installation.
LG asked officials to equip the facility with computed tomography machines and other medical imaging techniques to make them available at the hospital.
