The coordinator of the empowered group on vaccination, vaccine procurement, importation, etc. will be NITI Aayog member VK Paul. It will have nine other members, including the Secretary of Foreign Relations.
The empowered group coordinator for testing will be ICMR Director General Balram Bhargava and will have eight other members.
The convener of the empowered group on economic and welfare measures will be the Secretary for Economic Affairs and will have 10 members.
The coordinator of information, communication and public participation will be the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and will have 10 other members.
The empowered group coordinator for the emergency management plan and strategy will be VK Paul, a member of NITI Aayog and will have 10 other members, the empowered group coordinator for emergency response capabilities will be the Union Health Secretary and it will have 10 other members.
The coordinator of the empowered group for the response and coordination to a pandemic will be the Secretary of the Interior of the Union and will have 11 other members.
The coordinator of the empowered group to increase human resources and capacity development will be the Secretary of Labor of the Union and will have nine other members.
The empowered group coordinator for partnerships with the private sector, NGOs and others will be NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant and will have nine other members.
In an order, the Secretary of the Interior of the Union, Ajay Bhalla, said that the decision was made after a review of the situation of Covid-19 in the country “and the need was felt to reconstitute the six empowered groups into ten groups. to meet the current need for the management of Covid-19 “.
