No exam without vaccination, says Akhilesh Yadav | India News

LUCK: The Samajwadi Party said Tuesday that students it must be inoculated against the coronavirus before the board examinations are conducted, and its chairman Akhilesh Yadav claims that “there is no exam without vaccination.”
Since the government is in the process of making a decision on the Class 12 board exams and subsequent entrance tests that were postponed due to the second wave of Covid-19, some sectors have asked that if the exams go away. To be done, students must be vaccinated first.
“Pahle tika, fir pariksha (first vaccination, then exam). No exam without vaccination,” Yadav tweeted.
In demanding the vaccination of students, the Samajwadi Party MLC Udaiveer Singh said: “The central government must not play with the lives of students.”
At a high-level meeting called by the Ministry of Education earlier this week, Delhi, Kerala and a few others demanded vaccination of students before the exam.
After Sunday’s meeting, Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said that there is broad consensus among states on conducting Class 12 board examinations and that an “informed and collaborative “before June 1.
