Six Tribal Group Terrorists Killed in Assam | India News
GUWAHATI: Six cadres of the outlawed Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) died in an encounter with security forces close Dhansiri on Karbi Anglong district along the Assam-Nagaland border early Sunday, senior police officers said.
The police recovered a huge cache of weapons and ammunition after the shooting with a joint paramilitary team Assam rifles and the state police. Based on input on the presence of terrorists, a joint team from Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao district police and Assam Rifle personnel began an operation Saturday night, which continued through Sunday morning.
A member of the security forces was injured during the operation.
