IMD Predicts Light to Moderate Rainfall in Parts of Delhi-NCR Today | India News
NEW DELHI: Parts of Delhi and its adjacent areas will witness the light moderate intensity rain with storm, the Department of Metrology of India (IM D) forecast on Sunday.
“05-23-2021; 0915 IST; light to moderate rainstorm would occur in isolated locations in the southwest, south Delhi, Farukhnagar, Manesar (Haryana) and adjacent areas for the next 2 hours, “IMD said in a tweet.
Residents of Delhi woke up with reduced visibility due to winds that kicked up dust.
“Due to the dust-raising winds, visibility was reduced in Delhi. Safdarjung reported 0500m visibility at 0830 am IST today, “IMD tweeted.
Earlier this week, Delhi recorded the highest rainfall of 119.3mm in the last 24 hours since 1951 for the month of May after weather conditions in the city changed under the impact of Cyclone Tauktae.
“Delhi has received the highest rainfall of 119.3mm since 1951 for the month of May,” IMD said in a tweet on Thursday.
