HC suspends legal proceedings in INX Media corruption case involving Chidambaram and others | India News
NEW DELHI: Delhi High Court stayed Tuesday court proceedings of first instance in the CBI‘s INX Media Corruption Case involving Congress Leader P Chidambaram and his son Karti.
Justice Suresh Kumar Kait issued notification and requested responses from Chidambaram and others on the statement of the IWC challenging the order of the court of first instance ordering the supply of documents to the accused.
The CBI had registered his case on May 15, 2017, alleging irregularities in an authorization from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board granted to INX Media group for receiving foreign funds of Rs 305 million in 2007 during Chidambaram’s tenure as Finance Minister.
Subsequently, the DE had filed the money laundering case.
