PM will interact with state and district officials across the country on managing Covid-19 tomorrow | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with state and district field officials to discuss his experience handling the Covid-19 pandemic on Tuesday at 11am.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), officials from Karnataka, Bihar, Assam, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi will participate in the meeting.
“Through their interaction with the Prime Minister, officials will share some of the best practices, as well as suggestions and recommendations to continue our ongoing battle against Covid-19, especially in semi-urban and rural areas,” the statement said.
The battle against Covid-19 in various states and districts is being led to the forefront by officials at the field level. Many of them have shown great initiative and have come up with imaginative solutions. “A better appreciation of such initiatives will help develop an effective response plan, implement specific strategies, and support necessary policy interventions,” the PMO said.
Many effective steps have been taken, from ensuring strict containment measures are in place to control the spread, to preparing healthcare facilities to handle the second wave of fury, to ensuring the availability of medical manpower and a supply chain. With no disruption to logistics, these districts in their tireless efforts to manage the situation also have success stories that could be replicated across the country, he added.
