Harsh Vardhan will interact with the health ministers of UP, Andhra, MP, Gujarat to review the Covid-19 situation | India News


NEW DELHI: The Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan will interact on Saturday with the health ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat via video conferencing to review the situation of Covid-19 and the progress of the vaccination campaign in these states.
“At 3pm today, I will hold a CV with the health ministers of #UttarPradesh, #AndhraPradesh, #MadhyaPradesh and #Gujarat to review the current # Covid19 situation and the progress of the # Covid19 vaccination campaign in their respective states, “Harsh Vardhan tweeted.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also chaired a high-level meeting on the coronavirus situation in the country and the ongoing vaccination campaign today.
Up to 3,26,098 new cases of Covid-19, 3,53,299 discharges and 3,890 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health.
The total number of cases amounts to 2.43,72,907, including 2,04,32,898 recoveries, 2,66,207 deaths, and 36,73,802 active cases.
So far, a total of 18,04,57,579 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in the country.
The Union Ministry of Health reported on Friday that the national recovery rate is 83.50 percent.
12 States, including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, together account for 79.7% of all active cases in India, said the ministry.
