NEW DELHI: Old Union health minister and senior Congress Leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on saturday he wrote to the prime minister Narendra modi, suggesting measures to increase Covid-19 vaccine manufacturing in the country, party officials said.
In your letter, a copy of which has also been sent to the Union Minister of Health. Hard VardhanAzad has also given suggestions to further increase healthcare infrastructure in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, they said here.
Congressional officials said the former Rajya Sabha member, whose term ended earlier this year, also made some recommendations to increase the capacity of vaccinators in the country, in addition to ensuring more vaccination supplies to counter the pandemic in the country. .
The letter was written to the prime minister this morning for his consideration, they said.
Prime Minister Modi chaired a high-level meeting on the Covid-19 situation and the ongoing vaccination campaign on Saturday.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from different ministries.
