PM Modi talks to the Chief Ministers of Punjab, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttarakhand about the Covid-19 situation in their states | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with top ministers of Punjab, Karnataka, Bihar and Uttarakhand on Sunday about the Covid-19 situation in their respective states, government sources said.
For the past few days, Modi has been speaking with the chief ministers of states and lieutenant governors of the union’s territories to assess the pandemic situation there and offer suggestions.
The chief ministers have also briefed him on the measures they are taking to deal with the second wave of the pandemic.
India recorded 4.03,738 new cases of Covid-19 in one day, bringing the count to 2.22.96,414, according to data from the Union Ministry of Health updated on Sunday.
The death toll rose to 2.42,362 with 4,092 daily deaths, updated data showed at 8 a.m.
