CHENNAI: The government of Tamil Nadu announced on Saturday morning that a total lockdown will be in effect in the state from May 10 to 24 to curb the spread of Covid-19.
International travel has been banned, people traveling within the country on flights / train must register themselves (electronic registration).
Restrictions on large format stores (3000 square feet), shopping centers and shopping complexes will continue. All grocery stores will continue to operate until noon.
The tea shops will be open until noon. Only take out food from restaurants is allowed.
Beauty salons and salons will be closed. Events will not be allowed. All auditoriums, theaters and bars will be closed. Amusement parks / attractions / meeting rooms will be closed. Retail stores in the Koyambedu complex will not open.
