EC panel lawyer resigns over values that are not in line with the voting body | India News
NEW DELHI: An attorney, who has been representing the Electoral Commission (CE) before Supreme Court, has resigned from the EC advocacy panel, saying that his values they were not in line with the current functioning of the voting body.
Defender Mohit D Ram He was an attorney for the EC panel in the Supreme Court since 2013.
“I have discovered that my values are not in line with the current functioning of the EC; and therefore I withdraw from the responsibilities of your panel attorney before the Supreme Court.
“I am committed to ensuring a smooth file transition, NIGHT and ‘vakalatnamas’ on all pending matters with my office, ”he said in the resignation letter.
