India launched the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 on January 16. The third phase of the vaccination campaign began on May 1 to cover people in the 18-44 age group.
Following the Center’s decision last month to liberalize the vaccination campaign to allow states and private hospitals to purchase doses directly from manufacturers, several states have announced that they will provide free vaccines to their citizens.
