The US Department of Defense has said that the last two Covid-19 aid flights scheduled for India have been delayed and will arrive at least until Wednesday. The US Transportation Command said Monday the delay is due to maintenance issues.

On Sunday, a flight from the United States carrying bottles of 1.25 lakhs of an anti-viral drug Remdesivir landed in India. On Saturday night a flight from the United States landed in India carrying 1,000 oxygen cylinders, regulators and other medical equipment.
Last week, the US deployed its first two aircraft carrying the initial emergency relief supplies, including oxygen cylinders, regulators and pulse oximeters generously donated by California, rapid diagnostic tests and N95 masks.
In addition, the White House had also announced that the United States will deliver more than $ 100 million worth of medical supplies in the coming days to India to provide urgent aid as the country battles a new wave of Covid-19 cases.
