NEW DELHI: Rohit sardana, a senior journalist and one of the main presenters of the Hindi news channel Aaj Tak passed away on Friday, according to people close to him.
Rajdeep sardesai He took to Twitter and wrote: “More terrible news folks. Well known TV news anchor Rohit Sardana has passed away. He suffered a heart attack this morning. A deepest condolences to his family. RIP.”
Sardana had joined Aaj Tak in 2017 after leaving Zee News. He hosted the talk show “Dangal” on Aaj Tak.
Sardana received the 2018 Ganesh Vidyarthi Puraskar Award. He was one of the most popular faces of television news journalism in India.
After the news of Sardana’s death, condolences began to rain.
