Negative report of Covid-19 or mandatory full vaccination to enter counting rooms: EC | India News

NEW DELHI: No candidate or their agents will be allowed to enter the counting rooms without a negative coronavirus report, in accordance with the latest results day guidelines issued by the Election Commission.
Candidates or their agents who have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine can also enter the counting room on May 2, when the votes for Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu will be counted, according to the guidelines issued on Wednesday.
No public gatherings outside the counting site will be allowed during the counting process, the guide said.
“Candidates or agents will not be allowed into the counting room without undergoing the RT-PCR / RAT test or without two doses of Covid-19 vaccination and must produce a negative RT-PCR report or a RAT report or vaccination reports within 48 hours of the start of the count, “the guideline said.
The count begins at 8 a.m. on May 2.
