Committed to Provide Care and Treatment to Covid-19 Veterans: Indian Army | India News


NEW DELHI: The Indian Army said Tuesday that it is committed to providing Covid-19 care and treatment to its veterans and would like them to approach the nearest Army facilities for any assistance.
“The Indian Army is taking multiple measures to improve its medical capabilities due to the increase in Covid-19 cases among veterans and their dependents,” their statement noted.
The base hospital in Delhi and the service hospitals at all military stations are working tirelessly to accommodate as many veterans as possible, he said.
These hospitals are continually increasing their capacities to ensure beds are available, the statement added.
Veterans affected by Covid-19 are being guided and assisted to obtain medical advice and admission in various hospitals, he noted.
With 3,23,144 people testing positive for coronavirus infection in one day, the total Covid-19 case count in India has risen to 1,76,36,307, while the national recovery rate has further dropped to 82. , 54 percent, according to Union Health. Ministry data updated on Tuesday.
