BSF prevents Pak drones from entering Indian territory | India News
JAMMU: Alert BSF troops on Saturday successfully foiled PakistanThe offer to fly drones in the Indian territory along the international border in the Arnia sector of Jammu district.
A BSF spokesperson said: “At around 4.30 AM, two UAVs were seen entering Indian territory from the Pakistani side and were immediately attacked by vigilant BSF troops, forcing the machines to withdraw to the territory of Pakistan. ”
He added: “Despite the existence of a ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India, Pakistan Rangers they have not stopped their nefarious activities against India. ”
The Pakistani Rangers in the recent past had regularly violated the international border by drone intrusions and trying to dump weapons / ammunition into Indian territory. BSF shot down a Pak hexacopter carrying a huge cache of weapons / ammunition on June 20 last year in Pansar. Another Pak drone was spotted near the IB in the Arnia sector on the night of November 28, 2020, which was also repulsed by BSF alert troops.
In another incident on November 20, BSF troops noticed a drone flying within Indian territory in the Samba the sector a day after security forces successfully thwarted Pakistan’s nefarious designs by neutralizing four terrorists from Jaish-e-Mohammad on Nagrota.
“Today’s drone intrusion offer foiled by BSF is indicative of a state of alert and swift retaliatory action on the part of BSF. The intelligence branch of BSF was receiving information about the possible use of drones by Pakistan to transport weapons and ammunition from Pakistan to the Indian side. Consequently, the troops have been on alert and border domination has increased exponentially, ”the spokesperson said.
