Amarnath registration temporarily postponed | India News

NEW DELHI: In light of the prevailing increase in Covid-19 cases, registration for the annual Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily postponed.
The pilgrimage to the holy cave is scheduled to start from the twin routes of Pahalgam and Baltal on June 28 and will culminate on August 22. It was also reported that registrations will reopen once the Covid situation is reviewed.
SASB had started registrations on April 1 and arrangements were in place since February 2021 for the successful completion of the pilgrimage.
Last year, the pilgrimage was canceled for similar reasons and SASB had facilitated only the live broadcast and virtual ‘darshan’ of the morning and evening ‘aarti’.
