NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourned the passing of celebrated writer Narendra Kohli on Saturday and said he will always be remembered for his vivid portrayal of mythological and historical figures in literature.
The eminent writer and literati of the Hindi world, Narendra Kohli, died here on Saturday.
“Deeply saddened by the death of the well-known writer Narendra Kohli. He will always be remembered for his vivid portrayal of mythological and historical figures in literature. My condolences to his family and admirers in this hour of pain. Om Shanti!” Modi said in a tweet in Hindi.
The prime minister also mourned the passing of lawyer and legal scholar KJ Shethna.
“Saddened by the passing of Shri KJ Shethna Ji, a prominent lawyer and legal scholar. In addition to his contribution to the legal field, he was also at the forefront of many community service initiatives,” Modi tweeted.
“My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this sad hour,” he said.
