Do not impede the movement of oxygen: Center | India News

NEW DELHI: The Home Office told all Union states and territories on Friday not to impose restrictions on the intrastate and interstate movement of medical oxygen and also instruct transportation authorities to allow the free movement of oxygen-carrying vehicles .
Interior Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, in a letter to all UT heads of state and administrators, emphasized that the availability of an adequate and uninterrupted supply of medical oxygen was an important prerequisite for managing moderate and severe Covid infections. “Any impediment in the supply of medical oxygen in the country can have a critical impact on the management of patients suffering from Covid in other parts of the country,” he said.
