Coronavirus: State List of Helpline Numbers in India | India News

NEW DELHI: The second wave of coronavirus is turning out to be more severe than the first. On Thursday, India recorded 2,17,353 new Covid infections and 1,185 victims, the highest number in a single day since the pandemic outbreak, according to updated data released by the Union’s ministry of health and family welfare. This has brought the total count to 1,42,91,917. So far, 1,74,308 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus in the country.
The number of active cases amounts to 15,69,743. Five states: Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, UP, Karnataka and Kerala account for 67.16% of the total active cases.
In order to help people with their doubts about the disease and help them to know the availability of beds and ventilators before going to the hospitals affected by their request, the Ministry of Health of the Union has established helpline numbers in each state. Here’s a look at them.
