India had crossed the one lakh mark of daily Covid-19 cases on April 5. The country added another lakh in 10 days.
NEW DELHI: At an all-time high, India on Thursday recorded more than 2 lakh of Covid-19 cases in one day, as the country reels under the second wave of coronavirus. India had registered more than a lakh of cases for the first time on April 5. It only took ten days to add another lakh.
The death toll on Thursday rose to 1.73,123 with 1,038 new daily deaths and 93,528 discharges, data from the Union Ministry of Health updated at 8 a.m. showed.
India’s total Covid-19 count is now 1,40,74,564 with 14,71,877 active cases and total recoveries at 1,24,29,564. As of Thursday, India has administered 11,44,93,238 doses of vaccines.
