PM Modi pays a rich tribute to Ambedkar | India News

NEW DELHI: Paying tribute to BR Ambedkar on the anniversary of his birth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that his struggle to bring disadvantaged sections of society into the mainstream will continue to set an example for every generation.
“I bow to the great Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in Ambedkar Jayanti,” Modi tweeted.
A key architect of the Indian constitution, Ambedkar is an icon to many Indians, especially Dalits, for his tireless work for social reforms and empowerment of disadvantaged sections of society.
He was born in 1891 and was the Prime Minister of Law of India. He was awarded Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civil honor, in 1990.
