Another ISJK Operation Arrested Outside Jammu | India News


JAMMU: An Islamic State of Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) operative was arrested Wednesday night in the Jhajjar Kotli area outside Jammu. This arrest follows that of another ISJK affiliate from Kulgam on April 4.
IGP (Jammu Area) Mukesh Singh said that the arrested Aqib Bashir Parray alias Assadullah was a resident of Unisoo in Handwara and was working “as an ISJK operative in Kashmir on the instructions of his commanders.”
On April 4, a joint team of Jammu Police and Police Special Operations Group arrested an ISJK cadre, Malik Umaid aka Abdullah of Yaripora, Kulgam, with a pistol, eight rounds of ammunition and more than 1 lakh in cash, thus avoiding a possible terrorist attack. before the annual Amarnath Yatra. During questioning, Malik revealed that he had received a delivery of weapons and cash to carry out terrorist attacks on J&K.
A case under the relevant sections of the law, including the UAPA booths registered in Jhajjar Kotli PS. An investigation is underway.
