NEW DELHI: More than 1.67 crore of Covid-19 vaccine doses are still available in states and UT, the Center said Tuesday, underscoring that the trouble it’s not about vaccine shortages but about better planning.
At a press conference, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that so far states and UTs have received 13,10,90,370 doses of vaccines, of which the total consumption, including waste, has been of 11,43,69,677.
“Based on the 11 am data, the unused doses available with the states and union territories for administration are 1,67,20,693. From now until the end of April, 2,01,22,960 doses are on the line of supply to the states and UT, “he said.
