NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his wishes about the start of Navratri and offered his wishes to various regions and communities that celebrate the new year according to their traditional calendar.
On Twitter, Prime Minister Modi said: “In the coming days, people across India will celebrate various festivals. These festivals show the diversity of India and the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.’ May these special occasions spread happiness, prosperity and brotherhood throughout the nation. ”

The Prime Minister also wished the people, Gudi Padwa, Sajibu Cheiraoba, Ugadi, Navreh and Cheti Chand, New Year festivals celebrated by people from different regions.
“Greetings in Cheti Chand, in particular to the Sindhi community. May the special blessings of Lord Jhulelal always remain with us. I pray that everyone’s wishes are fulfilled in the coming year,” he tweeted.
“Navreh greetings to all of you, on the special occasion of Navreh, praying for a year filled with joy and success. I also pray for the good health and well-being of all,” he said in a series of tweets.
Prime Minister Modi wished the new year “Sajibu Cheiraoba” to the people of Manipur. “Greetings Sajibu Cheiraoba to the people of Manipur. Best wishes for a happy and healthy year ahead,” he tweeted.
The Prime Minister also extended his wishes about Baisakhi, the harvest festival celebrated in Punjab.
