EC Notice to Bengal BJP Chief Dilip Ghosh for Alleged Comments on Violence in Sitalkuchi Polls | India News


NEW DELHI: The Election Commission issued a notice to West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh on Tuesday for his alleged comments on the violence in the Sitalkuchi polls. Four people were killed when central forces opened fire during elections in Cooch Behar district.
“If someone crosses its limits, then they will have seen what happened in Sitalkuchi. There will be Sitalkuchi in various places,” the electoral body quoted in its notice to Ghosh for his alleged comments.
The Trinamool Congress had approached EC against Ghosh.
