Former J&K CM Farooq Abdullah, who recently tested positive for Covid-19, was hospitalized for better care | India News


SRINAGR: veteran politician and president of the National Conference, Farooq Abdullah, who tested positive for Covid-19 recently, he was admitted to a hospital on Saturday as a precautionary measure.
On Twitter, his son Omar Abdullah said that Farooq Abdullah has been admitted to hospital in Srinagar based on the advice of doctors “so they can better watch him.”
“Our family continues to thank everyone for their messages of support and their prayers,” he added.
The 85-year-old North Carolina president tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday. At first he was kept in home isolation, but on Saturday doctors decided to transfer him to a hospital for better medical care.
Several leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wished him a speedy recovery after news broke that he tested positive for the disease.
Farooq Abdullah received his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on March 2.
