JAMMU: Braving harsh weather conditions and heavy snowfall, Leh Police, along with an Army team, rescued two domestic tourists stranded between Khardongla Top and the South Pullu area of ​​the Union Territory on Tuesday due to heavy snow accumulation.
A Leh police spokesman said: “We received information that two domestic tourists were trapped between Khardongla Top and South Pullu. In response to the call, a team made up of police and military who acted quickly arrived at the place where the tourists were trapped. After clearing the huge accumulation of snow from various places, they finally managed to rescue the two stranded tourists in time. It took the rescue teams three hours to reach the tourists and then move them to a safer location. ”
