NEW DELHI: The National Investigative Agency (NIA), which is investigating the murder of Thane-based Mansukh Hiran, recovered a CPU and license plate from the Mithi River in Mumbai on Sunday.
The agency also took arrested police officer Sachin Waze to the bridge over the river in connection with the investigation.
Divers also recovered other items from the river, ANI reported.
Waze is the main defendant in Hiran’s alleged murder and is currently in NIA custody.

Hiran is the owner of the explosives-laden SUV that was found abandoned near the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.
He had reported the car missing just two days before the security scare.
On March 5, Hiran was found dead in a stream in Thane.
