Harassment of nuns in UP: Rahul says it is the result of Sangh Parivar’s ‘vicious propaganda’ | India News
Two nuns and two applicants were taken from an express train and detained for questioning by the railway police in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19.
According to Jhansi officials, the nuns were detained on March 19 after local Bajrang Dal activists complained that two women were reportedly being forcibly taken away for religious conversions.
Police said the complaint was unfounded and that the four women took the next train to their destination in Odisha.
“The UP attack on the Kerala nuns is the result of the vicious propaganda directed by Sangh Parivar to pit one community against another and trample on minorities,” Gandhi said in a tweet.
