The findings from the paper leak probe will be used to strengthen the process: Army | India News

PUNE: The research findings on the recent paper leak will be used to make the recruitment process more foolproof and robust, the Indian Army said on Thursday.
Five people, including two members of Army personnel, were arrested after it was discovered that the document for the Army Relations Recruitment exam, scheduled for February 28, was leaked.
The exam, which was to take place in Pune and 40 other centers, was canceled.
In its statement, the Army said it was committed to ensuring transparency in the hiring process.
“In compliance with the determination of the Indian Army to ensure transparency and eliminate corrupt recruitment practices, the Indian Army and the Maharashtra State Police are jointly investigating the recent case of leakage of a questionnaire for the Common Entrance Examination for the recruitment of soldiers (general service) “, said.
The research results will feed into the existing hiring system to make it more foolproof and robust, he said.
“Due legal process will be followed to proceed against individuals who may have violated standard operating procedures for conducting such examinations,” the statement added.
There have been two cases in the city after the leak of the paper.
The one at Wanwadi Police Station deals with the paper leak itself, while a related case of cheating has been recorded at Vishrambag Police Station.
Police are investigating the source of the leaked paper and the number of candidates who received it.
A senior police official had previously said that the case appeared to be the “tip of the iceberg.”
