Covid-19: Now get vaccinated 24×7 when it suits you | India News


NEW DELHI: The Union health ministry has granted hospitals permission to administer the Covid-19 vaccine to those who are eligible at their convenience.
“The government has ended the time limitation to increase the speed of vaccination. Citizens of the country can now get vaccinated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at their convenience,” wrote the health minister of the Union, Harsh Vardhan, in a tweet in Hindi on Twitter.
India began the second phase of Covid vaccination on Monday, making it available to older people and people aged 45 and over with comorbidities.
The second phase of the vaccination campaign aims to cover almost 10 million people.
Several prominent political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Interior Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, Kerala CM Pinararyi Vijayan and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik have already been vaccinated.
According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 1,56,20,749 people in the country have been vaccinated against Covid-19 so far.
