PM Modi Takes First Dose of Covid-19 Vaccine at AIIMS Delhi | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at the AIIMS in Delhi on Monday.
“It is remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in such a short time to strengthen the global fight against Covid-19. I appeal to all those who are eligible to receive the vaccine. Together, let’s make India Covid free! -19! “, The prime minister said in a tweet after taking the Covid photo.
India is scheduled to enter the second phase of Covid-19 vaccines on Monday, when registrations will open at 9 a.m. for seniors (60 and older) and people aged 45-60 with comorbidities. The expansion of the vaccine campaign aims to cover a total of 30 million rupees of the “priority” population at a crucial time when several states are experiencing a spike in cases.
To receive the vaccine, eligible individuals will need to register on the COWIN 2.0 portal (www.cowin.gov.in) or through other IT applications.
One person can register up to four beneficiaries with a single mobile phone number. However, beneficiaries would have to submit separate proof of identity.
The government has listed seven photo IDs that can be used for online registration: Aadhaar card / letter, Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC), passport, driver’s license, PAN card, NPR smart card, and ID card. pension with photography.
Meanwhile, vaccination is being administered in 10,000 government medical facilities and more than 20,000 private hospitals.
