Active Case Count Reaches Zero, Arunachal Goes Coronavirus Free | India News


ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh became a coronavirus-free state on Sunday and all three active cases recovered from the disease, a senior health official said.
The total number of cases in the northeastern state stood at 16,836, while the number of recoveries stood at 16,780, said state watchdog Lobsang Jampa.
No new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the past 24 hours, he said. A total of 56 people have died so far from the contagion in the state.
The recovery rate of Arunachal Pradesh and positivity The rate is at 99.66 percent and zero percent, respectively, the official said.
In total, 4,05,647 samples were analyzed, including 312 on Saturday, Jampa said.
Meanwhile, state immunization official (SIO) Dimong Padung said 32,325 health and frontline workers have received vaccinations in the state so far.
The health department has been carrying out the vaccination campaign four days a week: Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
