In Puducherry, Cong deflated against energized oppn | India News

PUDUCHERRY: Annoyed by the loss of office in Puducherry just before the election was announced, Congress has little time to regroup before the April 6 vote.
In 2016, Congress emerged as the largest party, winning 15 seats and forming the government with the support of DMK (2) and an Independent. But he failed to hold his MLA together, accusing the BJP of using Raj Nivas and nominating the MLA to overthrow an elected government.
Now, he faces an opposition that has been energized by disorder in the ranks of Congress and the recent visit of Prime Minister Modi. Several political observers said that the opposition parties, AINRC, AIADMK and BJP, appear strong on paper, but will have to work hard to overthrow Congress.
