Two terrorist hideouts blown up in J&K | India News


JAMMU: Two terror hideouts were blown up in joint counterterrorism operations in the Reasi and Poonch districts of J&K in the past 24 hours. A huge cache of weapons and ammunition, including a rocket launcher with grenades, was recovered at the two sites.
In the Reasi district, a joint team of the Army, police and CRPF 126 billion recovered weapons and ammunition, including explosives and automatic rifles, from hiding. Based on intelligence input, the team launched a cordon and search operation in the Upper Sildhar, Ranjati Top, Rousowali Top and Dagantop Hills forest area on Friday morning. An underground hiding place was discovered and an AK-47 with two magazines and 150 cartridges, a rocket launcher, 16-UBGL grenades, four hand grenades and two VHF radios with antennas were recovered, ”said a Reasi Police spokesman.
In a similar operation in Poonch, another joint team during a search operation in the general area of ​​Dhargloon and Basooni, broke a terrorist hideout Thursday night. “The recovery included four Chinese grenades, 10 AK rounds and 15 pistol rounds,” said a Poonch police spokesman.
