Explosives Abandoned Near Mukesh Ambani’s Residence: CCTV Images Reveal Route Taken By Vehicle | India News

NEW DELHI: More details have emerged about the modus operandi behind an abandoned explosives vehicle near the Mumbai home of businessman Mukesh Ambani.
By retrieving CCTV footage from various locations, the police have been able to reconstruct the route taken by the vehicle.
The vehicle was first seen on CCTV cameras at the Shindewadi junction in Dada, from there headed to Worli and then to Haji Ali. Then he headed to Carmichael Road via Byculla (Khada Parsee).
An Innova SUV is also seen in the images shadowing the Scorpio. The driver of the vehicle in which the explosives were found is believed to have escaped in the Innova after abandoning his vehicle.
A grocery store owner, outside whose store the van was parked, told TOI that his CCTV showed the vehicle arriving around 1 a.m. Thursday. “The driver didn’t get out of the vehicle until around 3 in the morning,” he said.
The FIR has been searched at the Gamdevi police station against unidentified persons, said a Mumbai police spokesman.
Various units of the Mumbai Police Crimes Division have been deployed to various parts of the city to identify the drivers of the vehicles. An NIA team is also in the Crime Branch, the sources said.
20 bars of jelly and several fake license plates were found inside the abandoned vehicle. The vehicle registration number was the same as that of an SUV in Ambani’s security team, police said.
Also found inside was a concise note addressed to Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita.
