Toolbox: Delhi Court Grants Shantanu Muluk Provisional Protection Against Arrest Until March 9 | India News


NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Thursday granted provisional protection against Shantanu Muluk’s arrest until March 9 in the case of the ongoing “toolkit” document related to the farmers’ protest.
Additional Sessions Judge Dharmender Rana also postponed the matter to March 9 after Delhi Police sought time to present a detailed and complete response.
The additional prosecutor Irfan Ahmed requested a period of seven days to submit a detailed and complete answer, claiming that the investigating agency must confront him as there are contradictory answers given by the accused.
Appearing for Muluk, attorney Vrinda Grover said he has no problems but urged the court to extend his provisional protection.
Prosecutor Ahmed said he has instructions that there will be no enforcement action against him.
Shantanu Muluk, is a suspect in the case of the ongoing ‘toolkit’ document related to the farmers’ protest.
Shantanu Muluk had joined co-defendant “climate activist” Disha Ravi, 21, at the Delhi Police Cyber ​​Cell office in the national capital to further investigate the ongoing case. A Delhi court granted Disha Ravi bail on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old activist was arrested in Bengaluru in connection with the formulation and dissemination of the ‘toolbox’ document, in the ongoing farmers’ protest. She was one of the editors of the “toolbox” document.
On February 3, Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg shared this ‘toolkit’ in a tweet, which she later deleted. Greta had also extended her support for the protest by farmers’ unions on the Delhi borders against the new agricultural laws.
